Terms

Climbing is an activity with inherent risk, and everyone must follow the safety rules at HUT Skien. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult over 18.

To belay others on a rope you need a belay certificate – a top-rope certificate for top rope, a Brattkort (lead certificate) for lead. The necessary auto-belay instruction is given at the centre before you climb. The weight limit at the facility is 10–120 kg (bouldering has no weight limit).
