Alpine safety rules

1) Responsibility to avoid injury

You must behave in such a way that you do not endanger yourself or others. You must have the necessary control over your ski and snowboard equipment at all times. You are responsible for preventing the equipment from causing damage to people or other property.

2) Adjust your speed to the conditions

You must drive in a controlled manner and adjust your speed and driving style to your skill, terrain, weather, road conditions and traffic.

3) Duty to give way

Anyone coming from behind is responsible for driving in such a way that they do not expose others to a collision.

4) Overtaking and downhill driving

You may overtake another skier or snowboarder provided that they are given sufficient space for both controlled and uncontrolled movements. It is prohibited to drive straight downhill, except during organized training.

5) Starting, entering or turning uphill on the slope

If you enter or turn uphill on a slope, you must ensure that this is done without endangering yourself or others. The same applies to driving after stopping.

6) Stopping on the slope

Unless absolutely necessary, you must avoid stopping on the slope in narrow places or places with limited visibility. After a fall in such a place, you must move away as quickly as possible

7) On foot on the slope

If you are on foot, you must only use the outer edges of the slope.

8) Respect signs and markings

Follow signs, markings and instructions.

9) Assistance in the event of accidents

In the event of injuries, every skier or snowboarder has a duty to help.

10) Identification

In the event of injuries and accidents, witnesses and contributors are obliged to provide their personal information.

It is forbidden to stay in the alpine resort outside opening hours. This can be life-threatening as construction work is underway with snow production and preparation.

Alpine skiing is associated with a certain degree of danger. Drugs and skiing do not mix. Violation of the alpine rules of conduct may result in expulsion from the resort.
