The price is NOK 879 per person, and all necessary equipment is included.

Information

Once you've completed the course, you're ready to take the Brattkort test, which is free for our course participants. Others can take the test for NOK 250.

About the lead course

The lead course is for those who have already taken the top-rope course or have a top-rope certificate, and want to develop further towards the Brattkort. You learn to belay correctly, use equipment safely and behave safely at the climbing centre.

Through the course you get practical experience of lead climbing and close follow-up from our experienced instructors. You learn to handle the rope safely, clip the quickdraws correctly and belay with control and confidence. The instructors give you feedback along the way, so you develop both technique and an understanding of how lead climbing differs from top rope.

Although the main focus is on belaying, you're active on the wall throughout the session. You get to practise movement, flow and communication with your climbing partner – everything needed to build confidence and mastery at height.

After the course you can keep training with a rope with us for two weeks completely free. We provide the rope and belay device, while a harness and shoes can be hired at reception. This gives you the chance to practise what you've learned and build on the experience from the course.
