Facts about the resort – Skimore Oslo

Facts about the resort

Skimore Oslo is a year-round activity park. In the cold months we're a winter paradise for young and old. Modern snow cannons ensure excellent conditions throughout the resort from December to the end of March. That means that even when the grass is green in your garden, there's plenty of snow on our slopes. In summer we have a fun and challenging climbing park. H&L Oslo is among the largest and most popular climbing parks in the Nordics, and can be described as an amusement park up in the trees.

Winter

In the alpine resort we have 9 lifts, 21 runs and a vertical drop of 381 metres, and all runs are floodlit. The ski and snowboard resort has something for everyone: easy runs in the beginner area, a dedicated slopestyle line and wide runs that are perfect for families and carving. A ski school, ski and equipment hire, a workshop and a café. The season usually runs from November/December through Easter. Skimore Oslo at Tryvann is the capital's major ski resort with just over 300,000 visits per winter season, 25 minutes from the centre. The resort has 18 runs, 11 lifts and great eateries. Our vision is More people outdoors, more often. With floodlighting on all 18 slopes and a 6-seater chairlift at Wyller, we're the Oslo area's largest activity resort for children and young people in winter! As the city's best hangout, we therefore offer skiing joy to young and old. Skimore Oslo has its own ski school offering ski school courses and private lessons for all ages. We also have one of the country's best hires, a ski shop and a workshop. Here you can hire everything from alpine and cross-country gear to ski clothing if you don't have your own. The shop specialises in goggles, helmets and gloves, but also sells everything from back protectors and base layers to GoPros. Our workshop has long experience and broad expertise. We use an eco-friendly prep machine with infrared heat radiation, Norway's most powerful stone-grinding machine for skis and snowboards, and can offer Oslo's best ski and snowboard service! At the resort we have several eateries, among them a brand-new café and service building on the Tryvann side of the resort.

Summer

The climbing park at Skimore Oslo at Tryvann is among the largest and most popular climbing parks in the Nordics, and can aptly be described as an amusement park up in the trees! The courses that wind from tree to tree are suited to both young and old. There are courses that take you effortlessly around the treetops up high, but also courses that mean you have to work a little to get through. The courses consist of ziplines and countless obstacles such as suspension bridges, tunnels, ladders, balance and rope features. The features are fixed between tall poles and trees. On the features you have to use the muscles both in your head and in your body; the sense of achievement after a day in the trees is enormous for both young and old. The park consists of 12 climbing courses with 205 features and 37 ziplines over well above 1 km! The features hang from 0.5 m to 20 m above the ground, which also determines the difficulty of the courses. For the ultimate feeling of freedom we recommend the Tiger Leap (Tigerspranget) – a 25-metre-high pole with a step-off platform that lets you sail towards the ground with butterflies in your stomach! In addition we offer fun birthday concepts and boundary-pushing team-building exercises.
