Belaying others
To belay on top rope or lead you must have a belay certificate! A person over 18 with a Brattkort (lead and top-rope certificate) or a top-rope certificate (top-rope belaying) can supervise a person without a belay certificate. The person supervising must stand on the ground, always hold the dead end of the rope and give the belayer their full attention.
Climbing with auto-belay
Anyone can climb with auto-belay. Before you climb with auto-belay you must have read and understood the following:

If you don't have a belay certificate, you can be supervised by a person over 18 with a belay certificate if:
If you took a belay course at HUT Moss less than 3 months ago, you can practise in the course wall, with auto-belay as a backup.
Also remember:
If you use your own equipment, it must be UIAA-approved with CE approval. That you only hold on to climbing holds and don't put your fingers into bolts, carabiners or other steel.
Lead climbing:
A Brattkort is required to belay on lead!
If you behave irresponsibly or lack belay skills, the instructors may ask you to use auto-belay or bouldering, even if you have a belay certificate.
The training area
Access to the training room is included in the ticket.
Safety rules at HUT Moss
Yes, there are a lot of them, but the safety rules at HUT Moss don't put a brake on the fun. On the contrary, they're there to make sure you have a worry-free experience!
Think of the safety rules as a ticket to reaching the top safely. So when one of our climbing hosts reminds you to double-check your equipment or to listen up, it's not to be mean or annoying. It's to make sure you can keep exploring the climbing walls with confidence and joy – without injuries.
If you follow these guidelines, you lay the foundation for many more adventures without having to worry about ending up in an unfortunate situation.
Here we climb smart, and get the freedom and joy of climbing as the reward!
