BuldreJam at Høyt Under Taket Skien

What exactly is BuldreJam?

BuldreJam is an informal bouldering competition. BuldreJam at Høyt Under Taket Skien has become a popular event where we gather in a relaxed setting to explore different challenges (or “problems” as we like to call them in boulder-speak) and get better at bouldering. When you join BuldreJam you also have the chance to win prizes, make new friends and get even better at bouldering!

Bouldering is climbing without a rope or harness – you just use climbing shoes to get up and across. Bouldering is good for the body, but also a great social activity. While traditional climbing often involves high climbing walls, bouldering takes place on lower walls, which makes it easier to stay in contact with bouldering friends and instructors who provide support, motivation and tips.

BuldreJam makes bouldering extra fun!

One of the best things about bouldering is that the community is so good, and that BuldreJam brings together an inclusive crowd. We want to bring more people along and improve our bouldering skills at the same time, and maybe light a little competitive spark in you if you fancy joining in!

How BuldreJam works

When you take part in BuldreJam, it's about bouldering as many routes as possible within 2.5 hours. You fill in your own scorecard and collect points based on how many tops and zones you manage to reach. We only divide into categories for women and men.

After the competition part of BuldreJam we finish with a prize draw, so everyone has a chance to win something!
