Summer activity for children in Skien: Climbing and outdoor camp

Forget screen time and sitting still – send the children to a climbing and outdoor camp at Høyt Under Taket Skien! The summer camp offers five action-packed days of climbing school where the children climb both indoors and outdoors, and take part in abseiling, a nature trail and barbecuing.

PS: We split the climbing and outdoor camp into two: one for children, and one for teenagers. The offer is the same for both groups.

The children can look forward to:

The summer camp suits both beginners and those who have climbed before. The instructors make sure each child has something to aim for throughout the week!

Benefits of climbing

We lead the way in giving children the chance to express themselves and be challenged, both physically and mentally, in exciting surroundings. At the climbing camp they use their whole body, while also having to concentrate, make decisions and trust themselves. Climbing is an incredibly versatile activity. A win-win for body and mind!

Out into nature at Høyt & Lavt Vestfold

In addition to varied activities every day, the group also gets to spend a whole day in Scandinavia's largest climbing park, Høyt & Lavt Vestfold – the absolute highlight of the week. (Literally, too – just check out Himmelfallet). Here the children can throw themselves into whooshing zip lines, balance through obstacle courses up to 6 metres above the ground and feel a real adrenaline rush. A day they won't soon forget!

Sibling discount: 30% off the price for each sister or brother

Do you have several climbing-mad children at home? With a sibling discount it's cheaper to send more children to the climbing and outdoor camp. While the children explore new heights together, you can enjoy a little time to yourself and know that they're in safe hands (and definitely have other things to do than squabble with each other).

Summer activity in Skien – an investment in the children's development

Summer is for being outdoors. At the climbing camp they don't just get an active and exciting holiday week, they also learn important skills such as cooperation, achievement and independence – completely without thinking about it.
