About the resort
Skimore Kongsberg offers 12 km of runs, 5 lifts and a total capacity of 6,000 people per hour.
A 6-seater express lift takes you from Funkelia all the way to the top of Gruveåsen, with a fantastic view over the town of Kongsberg.
Winter
The runs have something for every taste, whether you're a beginner or a more experienced skier. There's a dedicated family area with a child-friendly lift. Kongsberg is known as a paradise for snowboarders and jibbers, with its own terrain park, and all runs are floodlit. In the ski lodge you can enjoy delicious food in a cosy atmosphere, or the view from Sølvstua with a cup of hot chocolate – and the world-famous cinnamon bun. At the ski hire you can rent full alpine and snowboard equipment or have a service done, and in the sports shop you'll find everything you need. We offer ski courses for groups and individuals, have plenty of parking, and you can reach Kongsberg in under an hour from Oslo, Drammen, Vestfold and Telemark.
Summer
The main attraction in summer is the Formula G track. The cars have no engine, but gravity gives you plenty of speed and excitement down the asphalt track with banked turns (drop-in only, included in the Skimore membership – everyone must have a lift ticket to take the lift up with the cars). If you're more interested in cycling, the top area is a paradise for biking, and we have bikes for hire. The area is also well suited to hiking, and you can sign up for guided tours to Gruveåsen (contact booking@skimorekongsberg.no). Down on the flat you can hire a basketball or volleyball court, and borrow simple toys at the Welcome Centre. Why not take the new chairlift up and have a swim in the Kongens Gruve pond after a walk or bike ride – and finish with a cinnamon bun and ice cream at the Kroa.
