Korketrekkeren

Oslo's most iconic sledging hill – about 2,700 metres long with a 255-metre vertical drop.

Korketrekkeren is Oslo's most iconic sledging hill. The hill is about 2,700 metres long with a vertical drop of 255 metres, and stretches from Frognerseteren down to Midtstuen.

How to sledge

One run down takes about 8–10 minutes without stopping. When you get to Midtstuen, you take the metro (line 1) west back to Frognerseteren in 16 minutes – and then you can sledge again. In total the round takes between 30 and 40 minutes, depending on how you «finish» on the run at the bottom.

Good to know

It's free to sledge in Korketrekkeren with your own sledge. We recommend using a helmet. If you need equipment, you can hire a sledge and clothing from us at Frognerseteren. Korketrekkeren is only open when there's enough snow on the hill.
