Sledge in Korketrekkeren – Oslo's most iconic sledging hill
2,700 metres of sledging hill with a 255-metre vertical drop. Sledge down, take the metro up, and repeat.
Korketrekkeren is Oslo's most iconic sledging hill – about 2,700 metres long with a vertical drop of 255 metres, from Frognerseteren down to Midtstuen.
One run down takes 8–10 minutes without stopping. When you get to Midtstuen, you take metro line 1 back to Frognerseteren in 16 minutes – and can sledge again. In total the round takes 30–40 minutes.
It's free to sledge with your own sledge, and we recommend a helmet. If you need equipment, you can hire a sledge and clothing from us at Frognerseteren. The hill is open when there's enough snow.
