Sledging in Korketrekkeren

At Frognerseteren we hire out sledges. Sledging in Korketrekkeren is incredibly fun, with many turns and straight sections where you build up good speed – but it's easy to control your speed by braking the sledge the way people did in the «old» days.

A day in Korketrekkeren suits all ages who like fun, speed and excitement under controlled conditions. The youngest and oldest in the family can have equal fun side by side, and family and friends can have informal competitions to get down first. We guarantee a fun day of sledging, flying snow and a little excitement.

How to get there?

The metro from Nationaltheatret to Frognerseteren takes only 35 minutes. After your sledging run you take the metro back up to the top in 15 minutes. You'll find us centrally located between Frognerseteren station and the start of Korketrekkeren. (We're not responsible for metro service disruptions.) Address: Holmenkollveien 198, 0791 Oslo.

Children/youth up to 16 with a height under 160 cm: NOK 115
People over 160 cm: NOK 150

Recommended safety rules

• Show consideration and sledge with common sense – adapt your speed.
• Take it easy and familiarise yourself with the run if it's your first time.
• Use a helmet and goggles.
• If you have to stop or you fall, move well to the side so the run is clear for others.
• During busy times (Saturdays and Sundays), those with small children should avoid the busiest times.
• All sledging is at your own risk.
