Family visit to Skimore Oslo
Skimore Oslo is a child-friendly paradise for families who want to ski or snowboard together.
A large children's area
The children can romp around in the children's area with four green runs – Elgløypa, Revekneika, Ekornbakken and Knøttesletta. Several fun figures on the slopes make learning to turn extra fun. All the slopes are easy to see from top to bottom, so it's easy to keep an eye on where the little hopefuls are, and the button lifts are easy for both children and beginners.
Food for young and old
At the bottom of the children's area you'll find Café Tårnstua with lots of good food – the pizza has to be tasted, and waffles, soft drinks, buns and coffee are served. Opposite Toppsenteret (the car park) lies Restaurant Vidsjå with a large, varied menu, from burgers to sushi, a dedicated children's menu and takeaway.
When the children want more
If the children's area gets too easy, the resort has 18 runs – from the easy children's area at the top to Wyller (black run). We also have a child-friendly blue run in the terrain park with easy jumps and fun rails. Tårnbakken straight out from the top is perfect for learning to turn at slightly higher speed: wide, gentle, with a little drop at the end. The resort is open in the evenings on weekdays, and all the slopes are floodlit.
We recommend families with children park at the top of Tryvann if the children aren't experienced skiers. Here you'll also find the ski school, hire, shop and eateries.
Guest pass and membership
Buy a guest pass in our app or inside Toppsenteret. If you want to ski a lot affordably, we offer Skimore membership as an individual or family membership, with many member benefits. As a member you can also hire alpine equipment on a seasonal basis through Skimore+ – you take the equipment home and use it as your own. A good investment if the children have to change equipment every year.
We're only 30 minutes from Oslo city centre by car or metro. The season usually runs from November/December through Easter.
