Winter fun all year round
Linnea shaves off hundredths of a second, Stein Ove trains cross-country technique and Ane shares snowboard adventures. SNØ offers perfect conditions all year round.
The 36,000-square-metre ski hall opened at Lørenskog in 2020. Recently the offering was expanded with Northern Europe's largest indoor snow castle, used both for birthdays and events.
– Now the hall brings joy all year round, both to professional skiers and to those who just want to do something nice together, says SNØ boss Ole Christian Mork.
Trains all year round
SNØ offers four runs: a family-friendly slope, a racing hill, a beginner area and a park with jumps, rails and boxes. During the club season (August to early November) the slope is adapted for those who train actively; in November one of the slopes opens for ordinary recreational skiing.
A gathered gang of girls on boards
In the 300-metre-long park, the girls' crew Grlshred is on hand. Grlshred was started by Ane Gyllstrøm in 2020 and consists of over a hundred girls aged 20 to 50.
Ice wall and 400-tonne snow castle
The 15-metre-high ice wall makes ice climbing available all year round; up to 6 people can climb at the same time. Above the slopes hangs the one-kilometre-long cross-country trail. The snow castle is made from 400 tonnes of snow with ice slides, tunnels, climbing ropes, a climbing wall and lookout points.
