SNØ set to become Oslo's biggest tourist attraction
The ski hall SNØ is expanding with one of Europe's largest indoor snow castles, made from 400 tonnes of snow.
It's now five years since Norway's first and only indoor ski hall opened at Lørenskog. Now SNØ has made its biggest product development since the start and built one of Europe's largest indoor snow castles.
«We're now going from being a ski resort to also being a complete destination for many more snow experiences. We have great faith that the snow castle will attract many new visitors, both from Norway and from abroad», says Ole Christian Mork, managing director of SNØ.
The snow castle is designed and built by Shapecrew, a Norwegian company with over 20 years of experience in the snow industry. The castle is made from 400 tonnes of pure snow and stretches across three storeys: 30 metres long, 13 metres wide, with snow walls up to four metres high. Inside you'll find two ice slides, three tunnels, climbing ropes, a climbing wall, a balance beam and several lookout points.
Getting into the snow castle costs between NOK 135 and 165, depending on the day and time. It's free for parents accompanying children.
